RC Tongkah arranged a special occasion ‘End-of-Term’ party for student at Ban Kamala School
and for Mr.Glenn Watson, who return to his second home, to joint this event with all students.
The special arrangement has also including handover of 320 school uniforms, 320 bags and
accessories for students, 16 uniforms for teachers and 2 scholarships. Lunch, children games
and health check-up service are provided during the day. The Phuket International Hospital has
donated 24 scholarships and medical supplies valued Bht.30,000 to Kamala Sub-District Health
Center and Baan Kamala School. The total budget allocation for the school is Bht.500,136.

2nd Hand-over of tools and equipment

Members of RC Tongkah
brought a 2nd lot of tools and equipment to the remaining
families who living in Kamala making a total of 39 families.
Members of RC Bangkok South, Bangkok are also coming to the
village to survey place to install a reverse osmosis system.
The first system will installed at Bann Kamala School where
its system capability is max 350 liter drinking water per
day. |

RC Tongkah team has
also visit the villagers who received tools and equipment
from the 1st hand-over on last few weeks. The letter of intent
from Kamala Sub-district health center has been submitted
to RC Tongkah for tax excemption of medical supply. |

Kunaporn, PP.Ole Madsen from Rotary Club of Bangkok South
has discussed with Dr.Tanit Chalermyanont (Prince of Songkla
University) for a water purification plan. Dr.Tanit said there
was a contamination of 2000 ppm Sodium Chloride in the well
water, but the system of Reverse Osmosis should be able to
take care of this problem. |

Surveyor team from
Prince of Songkla University, Hatyai consists of Dr.Tanit
Chalermyanont (Ph.D. Civil & Environment Engineering, Ms.Jareerat
Sakulrat (Lecturer, Environmental Engineering) and Dr.Kosumal
Chalermyanont (Ph.D. Faculty of Engineering) arrived in Kamala
and began the site survey of water resources and took water
samples to solve salty water problem. Due to a large areas
effected by the sea water, there might take a longer time
to recover or need to spent a lot of money. Dr.Tanit will
bring colleted water sample to analyze how to solve the problem.

In the morning, RC
Tongkah's Rotarians and Rotary Ann brought tools and equipment
to be used for their careers and construction materials for
renovation of their home-shop-and other buildings to Kamala.
Before the hand-over, PP Chaisak had stated the objective
of the relief project including mentioned awareness of those
who supported and donated for this project. In the hand-over,
there were from 25 families (houses) who would received their
needs, and the rest of 14 families will receive within the
